Before joining TSG Advice Partners, my first 15 years of experience in practice as a private attorney has taught me that estate and gift planning, to be most effective and impactful for the client, must be a collaborative effort between the client, counsel, financial advisor, accountant, and other trusted professionals. In order to achieve the client’s objectives and deliver the most important result for the client – peace of mind – all individuals and professionals involved in the estate and gift planning process must be rowing in the same direction. And so, to further borrow an analogy from the world of rowing, I view my role to be similar to that of a coxswain, guiding and encouraging all on the client’s team of advisors and professionals to work in unison and rhythm to create and implement the estate and gift plan that will meet each client’s unique needs and goals.
